All it takes is two days of digging to unravel an entire story.
Let me tell you the real story of Mohsen Mahdawi, the latest student to have been arrested by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the PR campaign he launched to publicize his detention and play an entire state of elected officials, turning many into fools, patsies, and mouthpieces to cover his terror-affiliated history.
The bottom line here is really scary. Mohsen has 17 years of university experience in total. Almost a decade of those 17 years were spent around US campuses – starting up anti-Israel groups and radicalising students. He does not appear to have a single degree to his name. If this man was either Chinese or Russian – and had spent a decade radicalising students on campus; if he also had a semi-fictional backstory, came from a family of terrorists, and had spent much of his life promoting extremist genocidal positions, there is not a politician in the US who would be seen anywhere near him. Red flags would be seen by all.
But he is not Chinese or Russian. Mohsen is a Palestinian – and for whatever reason that changes everything. Politicians, activists, NGOs and the media all become blind to an antisemitic genocidal fetish when it comes from the mouth of a Palestinian. It is almost as if their collective brains all just fall out. And this presents a real danger – not just for Jews – but for wider US society as well.
Making up a BS background
Mohsen may have learnt very early on the lesson that most Palestinians in the West come to learn: that he can claim anything – say anything – pretend he had personally experienced anything – and not a single person on the left would have the brains to question any of it.
Mohsen Mahdawi’s background story, as he tells it, is rough and makes you want to hug him instead of ask him questions. His mum left him when he was young. A sibling passed away. He saw his best friend shot and killed. Mohsen had to scale the wall to help his escape to the United States. He was shot himself as a child. There is even a story of 12-year-old Mohsen scraping seven bodies from walls. He narrowly escaped death several times.
Unless of course – most of it isn’t accurate.
In this 60 Minutes clip, despite 60 Minutes messing around with the year of the event, Mohsen Mahdawi explicitly says he was 10 years old when he saw his best friend shot in the chest and killed.
Mohsen Mahdawi was born on 12 Sep 1990.
Mohsen was 10 years old between 12 Sep 2000 and 11 Sep 2001. And here is the first problem. Mahdawi grew up in the al-Fara refugee camp in the Tubas district. That is also where Mohsen went to school. There is a record on the B’tselem website of fatalities during the Second Intifada. From that record we know for a fact that not a single child was killed at the al-Fara refugee camp during the time period Mohsen was 10 years old. Something is wrong.
He names his friend as Hemeida. Nobody going by that name was killed at the camp at all during the Second Intifada. He says his friend was shot in the chest, yet the only child from the camp who died during the Second intifada was 14, his name was Mohammed, and he was tragically killed by an exploding gas canister in June 2002:

Let’s play nice and imagine for a minute that Mohsen forgot how old he was when he saw his best friend shot, cannot recall his name, and somehow also got the details of the death wrong. Let us accept that Mohsen’s best friend was in fact the only child killed in the camp during the Second Intifada.
His story still does not hold up.
In a now deleted 2019 post on a Lehigh University student publication, we learn that the incident happened as Mohsen and his friend ‘were playing in the street after school’. As the event unfolded, Mohsen claims he rushed into a house, and then half an hour later “Mahdawi went outside to find Mubarak’s resting body on the ground”.
And this leads to another problem. In the weekly update provided by the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights on 4 July 2002, there is this in the entry for 29 June 2002.
“Mohammed Ahmed Mubarak Eshteiwi, was wounded with a tear gas canister in the chest, and disappeared. Approximately an hour later, his family discovered his body on an agricultural road leading to the refugee camp”.
The incident took place far away from any houses. The name, location, and details Mohsen has been repeating do not match any recorded incident.
Mohsen’s tragic tale appears fictional and unsupportable. All of this information is publicly available. Does the US media do no due diligence at all before it starts spreading stories?
In the 2019 article, Mohsen paints a picture of himself dodging bullets all the time. “Mahdawi had heard bullets whiz by him many times while he was in the al-Fara camp, and was determined to make it to America alive and well.”
The truth is that the al-Fara camp is quite remote and was rarely in the thick of the action. Consider this: in the 4+ years of the Second Intifada (September 2000 – February 2005) only four people were killed by Israeli forces in the al-Fara camp. Three of those were targeted strikes where the terrorist was killed from the air. Now listen to this clip of Mohsen from Al Jazeera:
Seven killed? In a single night? And “he peeled off the skin with his bare hands”? This is all nonsense. How on earth did a single serious media outlet not pick up on any of this?
Mahdawi is feeding into antisemitic tropes and the anti-Israel delusion, and it seems elected officials and the public are more than happy to eat it up.
But it gets worse.
Mohsen Mahdawi and his terrorist family
On 3 Oct 2024, Mohsen Mahdawi posted on Instagram about a number of family members he claims were killed by the Israeli army. There were seven people captured in the photos in total.
I managed to identify four of those named:
- Uncle Thayer – identified – Taher Muhsein Madawi – Palestinian security force (terrorist).
- Cousin Maysarah – identified – Myasarah Suliman Abd a-Rahman Masharqah – terrorist.
- Cousin Hekmat – identified – Hikmat Samir Muhammad Milhem – terrorist.
- Cousin Mohammed – identified – Muhammad Samir Muhammad Milhem – terrorist.
- Cousin Ameen – not yet identified
- Cousin Theyar – not yet identified
- Cousin Waleed – not yet identified
Of real import is this: Those family members were part of a terrorist group. They tried to kill Israelis – and that is how they died. There is nobody visible on the list who was killed while not picking up a gun.
The facts are always there to see if you choose to see them.
We can now further check the dishonesty of Mohsen, the professional student.
In an Instagram post of 19 Dec 2023, Mohsen claimed the cousins had been ‘assassinated’, going on to say “an Israeli sniper unjustly shot the two brothers in the head”.
Now look at how they actually died: shooting at Israeli soldiers.
In the same post, Mohsen mentions children being “shot dead in the head by the same sniper within the same hour.” What he does not say is that both ‘children’ were over 16, and one of them was an Islamic Jihad terrorist who was throwing an explosive device at Israeli soldiers when he was killed.
Mohsen Mahdawi knows all this of course, but is choosing not to mention those details. His other cousin Myasarah was a senior al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade terrorist who had been travelling with a senior Hamas terrorist in a car.
Here is a clean picture of his cousin Myasarah here:
When you add to this that several of his family members also spent decades in jail for terrorist offences, one can reasonably conclude, this family is a family of terrorists and terrorist supporters. More on this and his mother later, but for now…
The Social Justice Warriors
The politicians taking center stage in Mohsen’s story are social justice warriors-turned-elected officials who either knowingly or unwittingly seem to have played a PR role during the arrest, which was so well staged that one should question if it was predicted in advance. The usually casually clad Vermont Senator Becca White accompanied her friend in TV-ready garb while donning her legislative nametag despite the legislature not convening that day, ready to livestream the entire event. White, whose key initiatives have included raising legislative pay, represents a town whose selectboard debated an anti-Israel, antisemitic resolution mere days before Mohsen’s detention.
During the arrest, she even went out of her way to call Mohsen her friend. In support of these SJW ‘politicians’, and their tearful selfie videos, legacy media has fallen over itself to paint Mohsen Mahdawi as some type of flower child folk hero.
Sen. Becca White (D-Windsor) has almost fallen over herself in an attempt to whitewash Mohsen Mahdawi’s dubious history, extremist connections and pro-terrorist commentary. Is it that Senator Becca White is just extremely gullible in general, or has she been totally blinded by the Palestinian flag and the “oppressed/oppressor” narrative which has come to define the Middle East for the well-meaning morons of the West? Numerous other politicians appear to have fallen into the same dangerous rabbit hole.
Most claim Mohsen is a peace activist when all the evidence suggests something very different. What is laid out above presents a dark picture of a student spreading lies, while he shields a family full of terrorists and terrorist supporters. The Canary Mission has a long list of pro-terrorist talk and extremist anti-Israel positions from some of Mohsen’s campus activity.
But there is deeply disturbing online activity nobody yet appears to have uncovered. Until now.
Mohsen, Mom, and his terrorist supporting Facebook group
Mohsen’s propaganda origin story has him focusing on education after a talk with his uncle in the early 2000s. In reality in 2012 he was opening Facebook groups that dealt with the glorification of terrorists:
This group is actually about long term prisoners (convicted terrorists) and their families. There are videos to go with it. The star of the show is Mohsen’s mother, Abeer Shamali, the same mother he claims left the camp when he was young. The title of the show? ‘In the House of a Fighter’. Mohsen Mahdawi assisted with the show and publicised it through the group he created. This was his first post in the group:
This translates to:
The “In the House of a fighter” program highlights the sacrifices of our martyred heroes, prisoners, and wounded. In commemoration of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the homeland, and in appreciation and revival of the cause of our valiant prisoners, we were and still are the link between the darkness of prison and the sun of longing for their loved ones. We launched in 2006 and we will continue the journey until the liberation of all of Palestine.
The show basically involves his mother – going to the homes of the worst terrorist prisoners – and glorifying their story.
In October 2012, Mohsen posted a video glorifying the PFLP terrorist Mahmoud Wahdan. Wahdan was serving several life sentences and was involved in several suicide bombings that murdered Israelis.
Mohsen also posted a video glorifying the terrorist Ibrahim Farhoud Engas. Engas was sentenced to 30 years for deadly terrorist activity. This is an image of him:
There are dozens of posts like this. With Mohsen promoting the glorification of deadly terrorist prisoners. Here is an image he posted of his mother praying at the grave of Satan Al Wadi, a terrorist who ran a suicide cell on the Golan Heights.
Supporting and glorifying violence is a persistent theme. There is nothing peaceful about Mohsen. This is an image he posted of Muhiba Khorshid. She was killing Jews back in the 1940s, before modern Israel was created.
Videos in the group focus on the families of the terrorists with blood on their hands, so it is important to note many of these people benefit from the Palestinian Pay4Slay program. Also inside the videos – is violent antisemitic commentary:
“(10:33) He punished the Jews who punished him. (10:37) Thank God. (10:38) He is a good man.”
The list goes on. He posted a video glorifying the terrorist Baher Hadarb:
Hadarb was a leader of the terrorist group the Al Aqsa Martyr’s Brigade and was sentenced for his role in a bombing of the Shomrei Shomron settlement. Other videos glorify terrorists Ahmad Kabana and Anan Shalabi.
Mohsen was still posting videos glorifying terrorists in March 2014, as he was getting ready to fly to the United States.
Those who naively and stupidly stand behind this terrorist supporter, claiming he is not antisemitic, suggesting he is not a terrorist supporter: How do they explain this activity? Posted as he prepared to move to the United States is a video honouring the PFLP terrorist Moataz Washha, containing the infamous Khaybar chant, promising a massacre of Jews.
The New York Times and Sen. Becca White’s darling Mohsen Mahdawi posted and promoted this death chant in his own Facebook group in the same year he filled out visa applications to the United States. The woman we see at the start is his mother. The chant is self explanatory:
A month later, in April 2014 – probably as he flew to the United States – Mohsen made his mother an admin in his Facebook group.
Mohsen’s mother has won awards – and recognition – from all the leading prisoner / terrorist support groups – as her show set out to glorify the worst of them.
There is no excusing any of this, neither Mohsen’s activity nor the willful ignorance of the West. It was all in the public domain. The man who can do no wrong literally promoted the world’s deadliest terrorists and genocidal antisemitic chants.
The media is failing us. The politicians are failing us. We have the truth staring us in the face, but nobody wants to see it. All you have to do is wrap up lies and terrorism inside a Palestinian flag, and all that many will see is peace and cotton candy. There is nothing currently more dangerous to our society than this suicidal blindness.
Help me fight back against the antisemitism and the lies
My research is unique and hard hitting. I battle back against those who revise history, and I expose antisemitism wherever it is found. For eleven years (a lot more anonymously) I have been exposing hate and creating headlines.
I am completely independent. I am not affiliated to any organisation, and there are no major backers telling me what to do. This site is 100% community funded.

Have you contacted Homeland Security?
What seems not clear (at least to me) from your lengthy article is: Has Mohsen been convicted of any crime in the USA? Also, if the USG is seeking to deport him, are they respecting his right to due process of law and Constitutional protections? As you will appreciate, would-be autocrats such as Trump start with denying due process of law and Constitutional protections to the ‘bad guys’; but what will happen when they thereafter do the same to the others?
Did someone watch the cheesy CBS interview with this man ?
He uses the exact same words as Rashida Tlaib. His actions “ come from a place of love for Palestinians and Israelis…”.
This esoteric mumbo jumbo is calibrated for stupid western audiences.
